About Nathan

Nathan McGinn serves as Chief Executive Officer of Glass Roots Construction. Nathan has 20 years’ experience in the communications infrastructure and commercial real estate industries. Prior to joining Glass Roots, Nathan was a founding team member of Vero Fiber Networks, serving as Sr. Vice President of Operations and managing a wide range of fiber optic deployments across the United States. Before joining Vero, Nathan held a variety of senior leadership roles at Zayo Group with a focus on operations, construction, network development & client services. Nathan began his career at Palm Beach Title Services, serving as Chief Operating & Financial Officer. Nathan earned a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Vermont and a JD/MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Rodger Baldwin – President

About Rodger

Rodger Baldwin serves as President of Glass Roots Construction. Rodger has nearly 30 years of experience in utility construction management. Rodger is adept at improving operational efficiency, staff development through mentorship, and has a history in both business administration and in-field leadership. Rodger worked for MasTec NA, Inc, a nationwide utilities contractor, for 18 years. Rodger was instrumental in securing, building and developing MasTec’s early relationships with Verizon on their nationwide FiOS rollout and Google on their Google Fiber initiative. Rodger also worked closely with his customers and manufacturers to assist in the development of new tools, products, and installation methods to facilitate these new initiatives.

Nicole Burke – CFO

About Nicole

Nicole serves as Glass Roots Construction’s CFO. Prior to Glass Roots and Vero Networks, Nicole spent 10 years as the head of finance leading growth stage SaaS companies through pivotal expansions and exits. Prior to 2013, Nicole worked in financial operations at Orica Mining Services and in SEC reporting and public accounting at Brookfield Properties and KPMG, respectively. She is a CPA (inactive) and earned a B.S. in accounting and international business from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Randy Hawks Jr – VP Operations

About Randy

Randy Hawks has over 30 years of experience in utility infrastructure construction.  Over the last decade, Randy has directed both sales and operations and has managed hundreds of miles of fiber builds for some of the largest internet infrastructure companies in the western U.S. He is a recognized authority in the utility industry and has developed many new processes to place fiber in the ground more efficiently.

Warren Rhinehart – VP PMO

Warren Rhinehart has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and network infrastructure industry. As a seasoned and results-oriented professional, Warren brings a wealth of expertise in operations, project management, and leadership to Glass Roots Construction. Warren’s leadership extends to developing and implementing QA/QC programs, securing subcontractors, and managing material logistics. Warren has worked with a diverse group of customers including AT&T, Verizon, Corning, and T-Mobile.

Judy Henry – Chief of Staff

Judy Henry has over 30 years of experience in recruiting, managing, engaging, empowering, and developing staff resources. Judy serves as Chief of Staff and Director of People Operations at Glass Roots Construction. Judy is adept at establishing staff management procedures that adhere to industry standards, and encouraging and mentoring staff to achieve their own personal success. Judy has significant experience with sourcing, staffing, building successful teams and overall HR management. 

Melissa Matthews – Director of Business Operations

About Melissa

Melissa Matthews brings over 20 years of experience in business operations, including subcontractor management, contract development, policy development and implementation, as well as development and implementation of business tools and resources. Melissa currently serves Glass Roots Construction as Director of Business Operations and has served as Safety and Compliance Manager. Melissa has significant experience in the telecommunications industry working with Subcontractors, Safety Programs, Fleet Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Licensing.

Andre Logan – Health and Safety Manager

Andre possesses a passion for Safety and significant experience in the Telecom industry. He began his career as a laborer on an underground crew and has worked his way up, learning the business from the ground up. He has spent the last several years in a Safety manager position, and has a keen eye for industry standards enhanced by actually doing the work. After moving into a Safety position, he discovered a love for that aspect of the telecommunications industry and has dedicated his career to that field. Andre mentors our crews in a Safety First mindset. He approaches Safety from a coaching perspective, encouraging workers to think Safety in order to act Safely. 

Dustin Jordan – Director of Operations

Dustin Jordan brings over a decade of utility industry construction experience to Glass Roots Construction. Dustin is experienced with organizational startups including construction optimization, staff development, project management, and asset acquisition. Dustin has helped develop and execute utility damage prevention in the Colorado Market. He has started the First FTTH project for GRC and has built a successful relationship with the community and city. Dustin brings a vast knowledge of underground construction to the team. He has hands-on training with all types of Underground Utility Construction Methods.

Garrett Curtis – Director of Operations

Garrett Curtis brings over a decade of utility industry operational experience to Glass Roots Construction. Garrett is experienced with organizational startups including staff development, project team stand up, asset acquisition, and systems integration. Garrett has helped develop and execute utility service damage prevention and started up one of the first micro-trenching crews for MasTec NA. He has secured and managed large scale fiber projects for customers including Google, Zayo, Crown Castle, AT&T and Lumen.

Paula Hock – Director of Finance Operations

Paula Hock serves as Director of Finance Operations for Glass Roots Construction. In this role, she oversees the company’s financial planning and analysis to enable healthy operations growth. Paula also ensures that robust reporting and forecasting are in place so leadership can make effective, real-time decisions. She brings with her a diverse range of professional experiences, from Technical Director at a Science and Technology Consulting firm to Senior Program Manager at Lumen. Paula brings a unique perspective to Glass Roots, providing expertise ranging from financial data analysis and interpretation to scalable process optimization.

Bric Nelson – Market Manager

About Bric

Bric’s career spans over four decades of telecom construction and engineering for numerous major FTTx projects predominately in the western U.S.  He was Director of OSP NW Region for WYCO Field Services (a division of Mastec) with responsibility for broadband permitting and construction.  Prior to joining WYCO, Bric was the Senior Project Manager for Tilson Technology Management.  Until 2014 Bric was the Director of Network Planning & Engineering for AT&T in the Central and West Regions.  Among other duties, he managed 22 states resolving fiber capacity issues, licensing agreements, along with maintenance of the existing fiber network.  Prior to this assignment, Bric had responsibility for constructing several hundred miles of a hybrid fiber/coax network in the San Diego market for AT&T.
