Marty Snella has been an Executive Leader in the Telecommunications, Cable and IT industries for over 40 years. Marty served as CTO and CIO of Zayo Group, LLC from January 2008 to May 2014, and then most recently rejoined Zayo from 2020-2023 and served in several capacities including CNO. From 2014-2020, Marty served as CEO of Denovo Ventures, an Oracle Cloud Platinum partner. Prior to Zayo Group, Marty held various executive positions with ICG Communications, Expanets, Qwest Cyber Solutions, Level 3 Communications and AT&T Broadband (TCI). Marty began his career in 1981, as a Telecommunications Specialist in the United States Air Force. Marty studied at Eastern Washington University.
Kerstin Andersen is the Chief Financial Officer at Glass Roots Construction, where she leads the company’s financial strategy, oversees fiscal operations, and manages risk with a focus on long-term growth and stability. With more than 25 years of experience in financial leadership across the telecom and manufacturing industries, Kerstin has a proven record of driving scalable growth, improving profitability, and building strong, high-performing finance teams.
During her 15 years in international manufacturing, she established new financial systems and departments that laid the groundwork for sustainable success. Kerstin is known for implementing process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and automation strategies that enhance efficiency and strengthen financial foundations. Her proactive approach to risk management helps protect the business while ensuring a positive experience for both customers and vendors.
Randy Hawks has over 30 years of experience in utility infrastructure construction. Over the last decade, Randy has directed both sales and operations and has managed hundreds of miles of fiber builds for some of the largest internet infrastructure companies in the western U.S. He is a recognized authority in the utility industry and has developed many new processes to place fiber in the ground more efficiently.
Hunter Mosher is a decorated Marine Veteran that served as a Tank Commander for 1st Tank BN 1st Marine Division. Hunter is a goal-oriented dedicated leader with over a decade of professional experience in FTTX design. Hunter works tirelessly to direct his teams to success and support company efforts. In his role as Vice President of Engineering and Network Services he oversees the success of GRC’s engineering teams, bid support, and network supporting elements. Hunter has experience with a diverse range of projects with dozens of separate clients in the industry. Hunter looks forward to continuing a long career in the field of telecommunications.
Melissa Ill is an accomplished global leader with a proven track record of managing dynamic global teams and reducing operational costs. As SVP of HR, Procurement, and Contracts, she excels at identifying and mitigating risks, driving operational efficiencies, and fostering a people-first culture. With a focus on safety and employee experience, Melissa is dedicated to ensuring Glass Roots Construction is a great place to work.
Garrett Curtis brings over a decade of utility industry operational experience to Glass Roots Construction. Garrett is experienced with organizational startups including staff development, project team stand up, asset acquisition, and systems integration. Garrett has helped develop and execute utility service damage prevention and started up one of the first micro-trenching crews for MasTec NA. He has secured and managed large scale fiber projects for customers including Google, Zayo, Crown Castle, AT&T and Lumen.
Dustin Jordan brings over a decade of utility industry construction experience to Glass Roots Construction. Dustin is experienced with organizational startups including construction optimization, staff development, project management, and asset acquisition. Dustin has helped develop and execute utility damage prevention in the Colorado Market. He has started the First FTTH project for GRC and has built a successful relationship with the community and city. Dustin brings a vast knowledge of underground construction to the team. He has hands-on training with all types of Underground Utility Construction Methods.
Paula Hock serves as Director of Finance Operations for Glass Roots Construction. In this role, she oversees the company’s financial planning and analysis to enable healthy operations growth. Paula also ensures that robust reporting and forecasting are in place so leadership can make effective, real-time decisions. She brings with her a diverse range of professional experiences, from Technical Director at a Science and Technology Consulting firm to Senior Program Manager at Lumen. Paula brings a unique perspective to Glass Roots, providing expertise ranging from financial data analysis and interpretation to scalable process optimization.
Andre possesses a passion for Safety and significant experience in the Telecom industry. He began his career as a laborer on an underground crew and has worked his way up, learning the business from the ground up. He has spent the last several years in a Safety manager position, and has a keen eye for industry standards enhanced by actually doing the work. After moving into a Safety position, he discovered a love for that aspect of the telecommunications industry and has dedicated his career to that field. Andre mentors our crews in a Safety First mindset. He approaches Safety from a coaching perspective, encouraging workers to think Safety in order to act Safely.
