Glass Roots Construction is honored to be a key partner in a historic project that will bring expanded broadband access to the Hoopa Valley. We recently celebrated this significant milestone at the groundbreaking ceremony for the SB156 Middle Mile project, a collaborative effort with the Hoopa Valley Public Utilities District (HVPUD) and the California Department of Technology (CDT).
This event was a powerful moment, bringing together state, tribal, and external leaders to mark the beginning of a new era of connectivity for the region. The project is historic because the HVPUD entered into the first Tribal Joint Build Agreement in the State of California, a testament to a shared vision to bridge the digital divide.
For Glass Roots Construction, our role in this initiative is more than just a job. It’s an opportunity to use our expertise in utility construction to build a brighter, more connected future for the people of Hoopa Valley. We’re proud to work alongside our partners to lay the groundwork for a more equitable California.
